Building on its mission, the Social Services Department of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell is moving toward interdepartmental integration.
Ontario Works and Early Years Services will now be able to serve the population at four points of service: L’Orignal, Hawkesbury, Rockland and Casselman, offering a one-stop service.
The Ontario Works office at 860 Caron Street in Rockland is now closed. We will continue to provide the same high-quality services to people in temporary need across the territory. No services will be interrupted during this transition.

Mandate
The Social Services Department of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell is responsible for the administration of social services within its territory. It manages the Ontario Works program, Early Years Services, the EarlyON Child and Family Centre and the subsidies for the residents in domiciliary hostels as well as Housing Services to ensure availability to the qualified applicants who live in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell.
