In response to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services has announced additional measures to support those in need. Financial assistance can be provided to individuals through local Ontario Works offices. Emergency funds are available for those in financial crisis who have no access to other supports, including those who are waiting for support from the Federal Government to become available.
Discretionary funds have also been made available for those currently in receipt of Ontario Works social assistance. This funding can be used to meet a broad range of emergency needs.
